1. Information We Collect
Moodix Picks does not require registration or a user account. We do not store personally identifiable information. Your mood selection, platform choice, and any optional preferences you enter are sent temporarily to our server solely to generate recommendations and are not saved in any database.
2. Advertising & Cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google may use cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing history. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads.
3. Artificial Intelligence (Google Gemini)
Recommendations are generated by the Google Gemini API. Only your mood, selected platform, and any optional preferences you type are sent to Gemini. No personally identifiable data is included. See Gemini's terms at ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms.
4. Movie & Series Data (TMDB)
To retrieve posters and ratings we use The Movie Database (TMDB) API. TMDB only receives the title of the searched item — no user data is shared. See their policy at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
5. Rate Limiting (Upstash Redis)
To prevent abuse, we use Upstash Redis to limit requests per IP address (maximum 5 per minute). IP addresses are stored temporarily and used exclusively for traffic control.
6. Links to Streaming Platforms
Results include search links to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV+, Paramount+, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. These links redirect you to the title's search page within each platform. Moodix Picks has no affiliate relationship with any of these platforms and receives no compensation for clicks.
